Natasha Hellewell BA(Hons) DipPFS
I’ve worked in the Financial Services sector for over 10 years having begun my career within the Fund Accounting department at a large international investment bank. After initially joining the firm as an administrator, I worked my way up to a management position, where I was responsible for correctly calculating the daily prices for a number of large pension and investment funds.
I joined Adroit Financial Planning in early 2015 and became a Financial Consultant in 2017. I also volunteer for the Personal Finance Society as an Education Champion, delivering financial awareness workshops in schools and colleges.
I’m one of the few financial advisers to hold a degree in Financial Planning in addition to being fully qualified to provide advice in line with the standards set by the Financial Conduct Authority. I am also accredited by the Society of Later Life Advisers as an expert in the field of Later Life Planning, which includes giving advice on areas such as pensions, inheritance tax and care fees. I am now studying towards Chartered status, hoping to achieve this during 2021.
The nature of the business means I have had large and continued exposure to working with vulnerable clients, including the Court of Protection, and within the remit of various trust arrangements.
I handle a variety of tasks, both pre and post settlement. Pre-settlement expertise include pension loss reporting, infant settlement trusts and more recently Scottish pension sharing calculations during divorce proceedings. Post settlement, I regularly advise new clients on both investing and the suitability of personal injury trusts as well as completing existing client review work.
Other than my qualifications, the aspect of my work I’m most proud of is receiving positive client feedback. I pride myself on achieving a high standard of customer service.
